Congratulations, translators! Khmer is now a live (beta) language on hi5. To change your hi5 language to Khmer, just click the little globe icon at the top left of any hi5 page, and choose ភាសាខ្មែរ BETA from the "Asia Pacific" language list. Hope you'll let all your friends know too!

We have seen some layout issues from some Khmer translations on some pages (in cases where the translation is too long to fit on a button, for example, or needs more spaces to make it wrap better on the page). If you come across a layout problem like this, please post a message in the group, so that Khmer linguists and your fellow translators can help fix it.

2 more important things to keep in mind:

1) hi5 adds new phrases for translation each week -- so there will always be more things to translate into Khmer to maintain the site!

2) it generally takes a few days before changes made in the translation tool to appear on the live site -- so thanks for your patience while we all wait for any fixes to translations to go live :-)

I hear you -- with so many new hi5 languages, the classifications in that language selector are definitely outdated! We'll be reworking the language selector in the not-too-far future to improve this. Thanks :-)
